One of the largest ice hockey events is currently taking place in Denmark, where teams from all over the world are competing for the World title. During the matches water consumption fluctuates greatly, with little or no consumption during the match and high consumption in the breaks. This means that a booster system has to instantly keep up with any flow situation while delivering the right pressure all the time. Tauron Arena Kraków in Poland has hosted several ice hockey matches since it opened in 2014. Learn more about how water flows behind the scenes. https://www.grundfos.com/cases/find-case/when-krakow-arena-is-full-here-is-what-works-behind-the-scenes.html?cmpid=so:facebook:gfe:ww::icehockey
Today the world’s best ice hockey players are ready to enter the rink in Denmark. Thousands of excited fans will be in the arena cheering for their national teams. But how much do you know about how water flows in Ice Hockey arenas? In many sport arenas around the world Grundfos pumping systems secure the perfect conditions for players and spectators. Working unnoticeably behind the scenes, Grundfos has delivered 34 pumps to Jyske Bank Boxen, providing a temperature cool enough for the ice, yet warm enough for the spectators. We look forward to yet another major Sporting event in Denmark
Today is World Water Day! #worldwaterday "In short, we need everyone to pull their weight to handle water. And we need to think about how to do it every day. Not just today. Not just for the coming decade. But until we have found sustainable solutions."
Huge congratulations to Spain on winning the European Championship. During the tournament, we have donated €25,500 to projects to support the UN’s Global Goals 6 and 13. Our fight for clean water and combat against climate change goes on. Photo: Nebojsa Tejic & Uros Hocevar
In Kenya, we’re supporting a project that teaches women to set up their own sustainable energy businesses that make environmentally-friendly products available in poverty-stricken communities. Cheer extra load for goal number 13, as we take this chance to put sustainable power behind this important task. Find out more about what we’re doing here: www.grundfos.com/goal6and13
Let’s work for a brighter future for women and girls in Timor Leste. Here, newly built water systems will allow girls and women to spend more time on education – and less on collecting water from unsafe sources. We’re supporting this project, and depending on which team reaches the 6th goal first in our Match of the Day, we’ll ship a donation in its direction. www.grundfos.com/goal6and13
The consequences of climate change are alarming, so we all have to come together to fight it. That is why we support the UN’s Global Goal 13 – to take urgent action against climate change and its impact.
In Mali, more than 3.7 million people only have access to dirty water. It’s because of facts like these that we partner with WaterAid to improve water, sanitation and hygiene in the country. So, make some extra noise for the 6th goal in our Match of the Day – it activates a donation to a project working to solve this important issue. www.grundfos.com/goal6and13
Globally, 663 million people are without stable drinking water resources, while 2.4 billion lack access to basic sanitation. We want to change this, and that’s why we support the UN’s Global Goal 6.
